Anub’Rekhan (10)
Starting out with the trash, you will find several AoE packs before the first boss, Anub’Rekhan. The packs are quite easy, and with an off-tank helping you with aggro there shouldn’t be any problems.
Pet suggestion: Turtle
Your pet does not need a lot of HP for this boss, he doesn’t hit too hard, so once your pet is around 22-25K HP, you’re good to go. Any stats above that should go to building up threat. The first phase is quite basic tank and spank. Your raid should go easy on dps before the first add spawns after 20 seconds. The off tank picks the add up and it’s nuked down asap. This will happen a few times during the fight. Once this is done, your pet should have enough threat for the rest of the fight. But be on your toes for safety’s sake.
Once in a while Anub’Rekhan summons Corpse Scarabs. AoE them down and have your offtank try to pick up aggro on any lose scarabs.
Every 70-120 seconds Anub’Rekhan will use Locust Swarm (LS). The raid should be standing on one side of the platform, while you should be standing on the other. LS has 5 second cast time, so when he starts casting it, pull your pet back (Tip: Use Master’s Call for faster movement) and start kiting the boss in a semi-circle around the room. At this point, I suggest using Roar of Sacrifice and Shell Shield to prevent that you and your pet take too much damage from the Locust Swarm ticks if you indeed get hit by it.
When you’re on the other side of the room, leave your pet on stay, and move away. When the boss reaches the pet, start tanking just as you did before. If you don’t have enough dps to kill Anub’Rekhan before he uses LS again, use the same tactic as before with kiting him around the room.

That picture is great! It really puts it into perspective for us visual peoples =)
I’m glad you like it. =)
SO tempting to give tanking with my worm a try now…
soooooo tempting.
I should stick to heroics until I learn most of the cool stuff, though. =D
If you can do heroics, you can mostly do raids =)
